As mentioned in our User Access Right Guide, Global Admins can set the access rights for all users.
Depending on the work flow of your organisation, you can set different access for your inspectors and supervisors. Here we explain how to set the most common scenarios:
Inspector - 2 Scenarios
The supervisor assigns new reports to inspectors and the inspector should only see his/her assigned reports. To set this access right under "Manage User" in Topo, you have to set "Permit" in "View" and "Edit". (Orange Arrow)
The supervisor does not assigned reports to inspectors and the inspector has to log into his/her Topo account to look for the report. To set this access right under "Manage User" in Topo, you have to set "All" in View and "Ownerless" in Edit. The inspector will be able to view all reports but can only edit the new reports in the account. (Red Arrow)
For the supervisor access rights, the general setting is "ALL" in "View", "Edit" and "Permit". With this, the supervisor has access to all reports and he/she can view and edit all of them. In addition, he/she can assign reports to inspectors as well. (Blue Arrow)
Please note these are recommended settings only and can vary according to your organisation's work flow.
